Q: Who can be listed in the Creative New Gloucester directory?
A: Any one who meets these criteria:
Individual:  A New Gloucester resident who generates ideas, produces, or creates unique products.
Business:  Based in New Gloucester that provides creative goods, produces and/or distributes material or conceptual products.
Non-profit Organization:  Supports or actively engages in education that is creative, historical or cultural and / or preserves or promotes the creative and unique assets of the New Gloucester community. 

Q: I am an artist (or craftsperson, musician, gardener, etc) but I don’t make my living that way. Can I join?
A: Yes, register as an individual.

Q: I’m an individual artist but I also sell my work as a business. Which category should I choose—individual or business?
A: You can choose both.

Q: I work for a graphic design business in Portland. Can I register?
A: Yes, if your job meets the creative criteria and you live in New Gloucester. Sign up as an individual, since your company does not meet the criteria of being based in New Gloucester.

Q: I’m a pretty creative truck driver. What about me?
A: Sorry, truck driving doesn’t meet the “creative” criteria.

Q: My business is a day care center. Doesn’t that meet the criteria for an educational organization?
A: If your day care center is non-profit, and meets the criteria above for organizations. We will contact you if we have questions.

Q: I have a tattoo studio in Gray and many of my clients live in New Gloucester. Can I be listed?
A: No, sorry. If you live in New Gloucester, you can register as an individual artist.

Q: I don’t have a creative bone in my body but my store sells crafts made by local artisans.
A: Yes, you can sign up as a business. Make sure that you explain this in your description.

Q: Can I change my information?
A: Yes, you will have password-protected access to your listing so you can update it as you wish.

Q: Can I include a link to my web site?
A: Yes.

Q: How will people find me?
A: Web site visitors can search by a number of categories, or by key word.For example, you register as an individual painter, and in your description you say that your work focuses on landscape and historical buildings. Your listing would come up if someone chooses to search any of the categories that are set up, such as “painting,” or “individual”

Q: Can anyone else change my listing?
A: Web site visitors can not change your information. The Creative New Gloucester webmasters may change or remove information that does not meet the directory criteria or the norms of acceptable web etiquette.
