Ragtime! Pianist Virginia Eskin and the Portland String Quartet

Thursday, June 25

Shaker Folk Art in slides, commentary by Sister Frances and Brother Arnold. Shaker Hymns arranged and performed by the Portland String Quartet.

Friday, June 26

String Quartet Workshop Day - five participant quartets prepare and perform movements from the Five String Quartets of George Chadwick.

Saturday, June 27

Historian and annotator Steven Ledbetter join pianist Virginia Eskin and the Portland String Quartet in a "Chadwick Festival" - the program will include a quartet by Beethoven, Chadwick's Romanze for cello and piano, a lecture by Steven Ledbetter, and will close with Chadwick's Piano Quintet.

Seniors: $20
Students 21 & younger: Free
Quartet workshop participant: $50
