HERB WORKSHOPS: Lavender

Saturday, 10 am - 1 pm; Instructor: Betsey-Ann Golon
The Shakers have grown lavender for over 200 years. Learn the best varieties of lavender to plant, how to maintain raised beds, simple propagation, pruning, mulching, harvesting and drying. Participants will visit the Shaker herb gardens and then create recipes for lavender sugar, Herbes du Provence and lavender shortbread. You'll also create a lavender sachet or a pomander to take home along with information sheets, resources and recipes.
