October may be New Gloucester's busiest month for weekend activities.
Last weekend, the Village Coffee House featured a Latin-Cuban jazz band and there were traffic jams at Thompson's Orchard, and lots of pumpkin customers at Intervale Farm, as well as Apple Saturday and a hatmaking workshop at the Shaker Village.

THE WEEKEND OF OCT 10-11:
• Hayride and Pumpkin Picking- Sat. Oct 10
The McLures invite you to the Second Annual Family Hayride and Pumpkin Picking at Morgan Hill Farm, 44 Morgan Hill Rd. , 2-5 pm on October 10. (Raindate Oct. 17).
Pumpkin or gourd for children 10 and under (while they last). Snacks and drinks provided. All ages welcome! A free community event.

• Cheesemaking Workshop at Pineland
October 10 & 11
Learn to make cheese with Cheesemaker Mark Whitney. $275.

• The Pineland Farms Harvest Festival is Back!
When: Saturday, October 24, 2009
Time: 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm
! Come out to Pineland Farms for FALL FUN including pumpkin carving and painting in our patch, a pie eating contest, hay rides, carnival games, spooky storytelling, and much more. Don't miss it!

Cost:
FREE for ages 6 and under
Ages 7-17 is $4.00 per person
Ages 18+ is $8.00 per person
