New Gloucester Arts Network

On June 30, 2009 New Gloucester Arts Network had its first meeting at the Vestry of the First Congregational Church in Lower Gloucester. The meeting brought together 20 interested participants to talk about the future of this new found group and set some goals and mission.
A delicious pot luck supper was in place thanks to chairman Betsey Leslie.
The conversation spanned future efforts to bring together the community of artist and artisans through program content. For example, Ellie Fellers will investigate how to offer a SCORE small business program for the group. The effort will be directed to a meeting planned on September 16, another pot luck dinner preceding.
The group agreed that a display at the New Gloucester Community Fair should happen and Creative New Gloucester.org be presented to the public as well.
There is conversation about a gallery in the future, a show for artisans to participate, and joining Fiddlehead Center for the Arts' Holiday sale.
