Maine Festival of American Music: Its Roots and Traditions Wednesday, June 24 Ragtime! Pianist Virginia Eskin and the Portland String Quartet Thursday, June 25 Shaker Folk Art in slides, commentary by Sister Frances and Brother Arnold. Shaker Hymns arranged and performed by the Portland String Quartet. Friday, June 26 String Quartet Workshop Day - five participant quartets prepare and perform movements from the Five String Quartets of George Chadwick. Saturday, June 27 The Annual Strawberry Festival will take place on Thursday June 25th from 5 to 7 pm at the Congregational Church Vestry. Strawberry shortcake, sundaes and all things strawberry will be available, accompanied by the Berry Good Band. Proceeds benefit NG Historical Society projects. | ||
