NEW! A Garden of 'Simple Abundance'
Saturday, 10 AM - 1 PM; Instructor: Betsey-Ann Golon
Herbs, fruit, vegetables and flowers in a garden that you create for your own needs. Betsey will share 35 years of experience using companion planting, layering, organic methods and raised bed gardening. Participants will leave with catalogs, seeds, soil recipes and herbs from the Shaker garden. Information on what to bring with you will be sent at registration.
FEE: $40.00 (pre-registration required)

New Gloucester’s own band with boundless talent and energy. Local favorites play a jambalaya of blues, bluegrass, folk, rock and jazz featuring Ben Detroy, Hal Phillips, Todd Burowes, Tom Schipper, Ted McHugh playing guitar, mandolin, fiddle, rub board and drums.
Woodcarving for Beginners
Saturday, 9 AM - 4 PM; Instructor: Norm Devonshire
Start a new hobby. Come and learn the basics of carving and go home with a finished carving. Norm will teach you the proper use of the knife including the types of cuts and how to sharpen the knife. Fee includes knife and carving block (wood).

Members of the Arts and Creative Economy Committee will present the Creative NG web site to the selectmen at their Monday, June 15th meeting.
Sign up for the summer reading program at the library begins June 16 and runs through the end of the month.
